June 3, 2010 TREB Market Watch -- For May 2010, the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) has reported GTA (Greater Toronto Area) home prices are up 13% from May 2009. TREB also reports 9,470 sales during May 2010 - a 1% drop in sales compared to May 2009. In Newmarket Real Estate alone (TREB district N07), there were a total of 297 homes for sale, 148 sold averaging $376,669. Included in these totals were 207 detached homes for sale in Newmarket.Of these 207 detached homes for sale in Newmarket, 92 sold with an average price $428,318. Also included in these Newmarket Real Estate totals were semi detached homes. There were 31 semi detached homes for sale in Newmarket. Of the 31 semi detached homes for sale in Newmarket, more than half sold (17) with an average price of $301,353. Condo apartments had an average price of $262,750 with 6 sales. There were 2 link homes for sale in Newmarket, both sold averaging $331,500. Finally in Newmarket Real Estate, there were 18 condo town homes for sale in Newmarket, all 18 sold with an average price of $271,431 and there were 25 attached town homes for sale in Newmarket, with 13 sales averaging $314,885.
