April 4, 2012, TREB Market Watch -- The Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) reported 9,690 sales through the TorontoMLS system in March 2012 - up 8% in comparison to March 2011. The average selling price was up 10% to $501,614. In Newmarket Real Estate alone, there were 225 active homes for sale in Newmarket with 180 sales averaging $451,597. Of the 225 homes for sale in Newmarket, there were 140 detached homes with 103 sales with an average price of $534,218. Also included in the 225 homes for sale in Newmarket, were semi-detached homes. There were 42 semi-detached homes for sale in Newmarket, 31 semis sold averaging $393,662. Condo apartments had 13 sales with an average price of $251,215. There were 19 Condo town homes for sale in Newmarket which had 9 sales and an average price of $409,211. Finally in Newmarket Real Estate, there were 19 attached town homes sold in Newmarket with an average price of $366,984.
